Prince Harry and William don’t have the best brotherly relationship, and that’s no secret. It was reportedly made even worse by a comment the Duke made about William’s wife, Kate Middleton.
Since leaving the royal family with his wife, Meghan Markle in 2020, the Sussex’s relationship with the rest of the family looks to have headed to a place of no return. Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle also made no secret of their ‘strained’ relationship, but when the Princess joined the family, it seemed like she and Prince Harry were pretty close. However, that didn’t stop him from ‘making digs’ towards her in his bombshell documentary and book. Thus, straining his relationship with his only sibling and brother even further.
Upon leaving the establishment, Harry and Meghan wasted no time telling their story to the world. By 2022, they had their documentary on the worldwide streaming platform, Netflix, and there was one comment that hurt Prince William the most, according to author Robert Hardman.
In the documentary, Harry & Meghan, the Prince said the men in his family face a “temptation or an urge to marry someone who [they are] perhaps destined to be with.” At the time, although never confirmed, it was reportedly believed by many members of the Firm to be about the Prince and Princess of Wales.
Now Hardman appears to also claim this was the case, and it was the “lowest of the low” for William, he claims in his biography The Making of a King: King Charles III and the Modern Monarchy.
“On top of all the other breaches of trust, here was Harry making a blatant attack on Catherine. For William, this was the lowest of the low,” the royal author penned.
Expanding on his words, Hardman told US Weekly: “Clearly it bit deep, both the remarks in the Netflix six-parter with Harry and Meghan [Markle], but also in Harry’s book, Spare.
“Casting any sort of doubt, I think, on your brother’s choice of wife is clearly asking for trouble,” he continued.
Among the huge number of bombshell ‘revelations’ in Harry’s book Spare, he detailed the ‘many disagreements’ between Catherine and Meghan, explaining the infamous bridesmaid dress mishap.
However, it’s claimed William also made some ‘remarks’ about the Duke’s relationship with Meghan which made him ‘furious’, as he allegedly said: “Don’t feel like you need to rush this,” in 2017.

Harry and Meghan reportedly send well-wishes to Kate
Although their relationship has been ‘severely’ strained over the years, it didn’t stop the Sussexes from sending their well-wishes to Kate, who remains in hospital following planned abdominal surgery.
It was reported the couple sent their well-wishes to both the Princess and King Charles, who is undergoing a procedure for an enlarged prostate.
Despite this, the Duke didn’t mention the two in his speech when he accepted the Living Legends of Aviation award for his service to the military.
No dramas here, though, as it appears he’s been defended for not speaking about their health.
